Interactive Facade¶

What I have been made in week 01

I want to create an interactive facade that interacts with sunlight in the daytime and as a piece of art at night.

We can think of simplifying the idea:

By dividing the whole facade into multiple units, each unit contains multiple panels. Then we can control in each signal panel by servo.

Actually, I started at this project in the Advanced Maker Diploma as a basics but I want to improve it and learn more. So, I will explain what I did.

2D Modeling:¶

This sketch explains how can I use six panels with six servos in one unit. I chose six servos because of the ATmega 328 contained only 6 PWM pins.

So, This unit will be repeated serval times.

Then I started to think about the fixation.

We need to design as small pieces as possible and at the same time, the structure must be stable. So we can fabricate these parts with 3D printing as a prototype. But it designed according to structure system dimensions.

As per our Assessment Guide, that encourge us to make our parts capable of fabrication in any labs. So, I will replace my Components links with ‘the Fab Inventory’ But Basically this is the component that I will use.
